Ironic Chaff

For those who are unaware, chaff is basically small metal strips that confuse radar detection attempts to prevent radar from accurately locating targets. It was developed near-simultaneously during WWII by both sides. Neither side was aware that the other side had developed it, but each knew that after they used it once the enemy could quite easily learn to copy it… so neither side ended up using it (at least until over a year later, when the British had developed countermeasure countermeasures).
